Loudet is a very small village and has no shops, however there is a small supermarket (with bread depot), a post office and a bar just 2,5 km away in the next village, Saint Plancard. We can also highly recommend Restaurant Les Arches , just 15 minutes drive from us, set in a lovely position next to a lake.
The nearest town Montréjeau is about 10 minutes by car and has two supermarkets, a variety of bakeries/patisseries, shops, bars and restaurants, tourist office etc. The weekly market in Montréjeau which takes place every Monday is well worth a visit, selling fresh local produce and specialities of the area such as cheeses, wine, honey as well as arts and crafts.
The larger towns of St. Gaudens and Lannemezan are both about 10 miles away, with more shops, restaurants and facilities on offer; the weekly market in St Gaudens takes place on Thursdays and in Lannemezan on Wednesdays.
